Tutorial (part 3)

We now have 2 layers and it really starts to look good (fig12), we are now going to add a final touch to it.

Art is a very subjective matter and we could stop here but I wasn't totally happy with the lightning on the top left of the sphere therefore here comes the last step.

6. above the layer "sphere_shadow" create a lastlayer and name it "sphere_light" (fig13)
Again draw a 150x150 black circle (fig3) without stroke (fig4)

In the color mixer panel select the Radial fill style and create another gradient as shown on fig14

the RGB color values and the alpha from left to right are :

R:255 G:255 B:255 A:100%
R:255 G:255 B:255 A:0%
When you finished creating you gradient, select the paint bucket tool

and click on your black circle around the spot indicated on fig15

press F8 and convert your sphere as a graphic symbol and name it "sphere_light". Select the sphere_light graphic and in the properties panel set the _alpha value of the graphic to 70% (fig16)

Now let's have a look at our final result below :
